| Jim returns to the Red Sox as head trainer for his ninth season. Rowe graduated from Springfield College in 1986. He joined the Brewers Class A affiliate, Beloit (WI) Brewers in 1985 while a student at Springfield College (MA). After receiving his degree in physical education and athletic training, Rowe moved on to El Paso, TX where he served as athletic trainer of the Brewers' Class AA team. Rowe then left baseball for five years to work at Beverly Sports Medicine Clinic in Beverly, MA and at the Pingree School in South Hamilton, MA. In 1994 Rowe returned to pro baseball as athletic trainer for the Pawtucket Red Sox. He then moved to the M.L. club as head trainer in 1995. Jim is a member of the National Athletic Trainers Assn. and the Athletics Trainers Assn. of Massachusetts. The Dover, NH native currently resides in Newmarket, NH with his wife, Elizabeth, and their daughter, Brittany. | |
