OFFSEASON CALENDER

November 17- Announcements of the 2003 BBWAA Awards: AL Most Valuable Player

November 18- Announcements of the 2003 BBWAA Awards: NL Most Valuable Player

November 20- Day to file reserve lists for all minor league levels and Major League

December 7- Last date for former club players who declared free agency under Art. XXB to offer salary arbitration. If club does not offer, then it loses all rights to negotiate with and sign the free agent until May 1st of the next season.

December 12- Baseball Winter Meetings, New Orleans, LA

December 15- Major League Rule 5 Draft, New Orleans, LA

December 19- Last date for player, who declared free agency under Art. XXB, to accept an arbitration offer of former club. If player rejects offer to go to arbitration, his former club may still negotiate with and sign him until January 8th of next season.

December 20- Last date to tender contracts.

Since what we're ultimately interested in is seeing this team take its rightful place in the championship circle, in this main area I might include the current league standings. I might talk about how the season is going and analyze how good (or bad!) I feel my team's chances are given the upcoming schedule.

I also might discuss other teams that I think my team needs to be worried about.
